Amber Determan

Amber Determan, MS, LMHP is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Independent Contractor at the Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Creighton University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

She has a passion for working with young people struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma to help them learn new ways of thinking and healing. She believes in using empathy, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach to connect with her clients and create a safe environment for self-reflection and growth. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,  and a trauma-informed lens to increase insight into the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are causing difficulty, and to develop new patterns to improve functioning. She is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting.
