Sarah Thibault
Sarah Thibault is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an Independent Contractor at The Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol and Level 2 Gottman Couple’s Counseling among others and frequently integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and motivational interviewing into her work. She views client concerns through a biopsychosocial lens and incorporates a strengths based, collaborative approach in helping clients reach their treatment goals.
Sarah has worked with individuals, adolescents, couples and families since 2011 in a variety of settings including residential co-occurring adolescent treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, school based mental health and outpatient services. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Master of Science Degree in Child, Youth and Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She also received a second certificate in Medical Family Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Sarah enjoys working with those who suffer from trauma issues, depression, anxiety, marital discord, and drug and alcohol abuse. She has been a member of the Nebraska Association for Marriage and Family Therapy since 2009 and has served on the NAMFT elections committee.
