Meet Amber

Amber Determan, MS, LMHP, is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Independent Contractor at the Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Creighton University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Amber has a deep passion for working with young people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Her empathetic, humorous, and nonjudgmental approach helps create a safe and supportive space where clients can reflect on their experiences and foster personal growth. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a trauma-informed lens, Amber helps clients gain insight into the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are causing distress, guiding them toward developing healthier patterns for improved daily functioning.

In addition to her core therapeutic techniques, Amber is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BSP), which she uses to further support her clients in processing trauma and achieving lasting positive change.

It is never too late to be who you might have been.
